She held the sweater that was once his…
The life he once lived…
Has shattered like the window of his car …
Driving back from a party intoxicated…
A group of his friends debated…
“It’s good bro, no cops!”
But too much tequila in their system made their answers flop…
His friend drove but all he wanted to do was throw up…
Music beaming through their ears; never saw the semi truck…
Going 50 Miles on a 40 miles…
The smash of the head on the dashboard felt like a head on granite tiles…
Car tripled over and the boys become injured…
The only one who made good decisions; short of breath; stopped breathing…
The loss of blood meant loss of life…
The ambulance came in full throttle…
All the cops saw was five guys injured and five broken beer bottles…
Reporters announced 4 injured and 1 dead…
His spirited had stood above his head…
Pointed to the body in shock and said “that’s me!”
The car had spun into a big oak tree..

As he travels to his parents…
His eyes couldnt bare the image…
Mother had dropped down to her knees; cried an ocean…
Father, tried to be strong but will cry any second…
He realized the stupid mistake he had done…
Now the rest of his life is gone…

Three days has gone by and he hasn’t gone to heaven yet…
He stares at his mom sitting on his bed…
Hoping for an eraser…
So he can make her grieving easier…
Notice his favorite sweater…
She smells the scent of his and puts it near her chest..
The bags under her eyes shows she will never rest….
He won’t go up in peace until she does…
But god is waiting from up above…
The angel that descends warns for him to go…
His heart is not ready; just one day more….

He walks into the garage…
Sees his father ramblin’ on…
Abour baseball cards…
The stack was placed in his hands…
“I can’t believe your gone” his father had rant…
Tears roll down his cheeks…
“Father I’m here” he pleads…
When he tries to put a hand on his father’s shoulder…
He cannot reach it anymore…
The angel said it has to come to an end…
To the heavenly father; you ; I will send…
