The Changed Man

Zero dollars in his pocket.
Robbing the innocence was not his intention.
He was a man that had everything.
Family, friends, and a great career.
The career was marketing.
Dow jones crashed; now he has to give up a job he loves so dear.
The midnight train passes by him as he stands on the side of the tracks.
Contemplating stepping over the the tracks in a sec.
Thinking about the life he will be living.
The hands that god gave him lay there on his side.
Slumped down with hopeless emotions; dow jones took his pride.
As he stare at the blank concrete wall in front of him; he caught a glimpse of his loved ones.
Behind them was the light of the sun.
Bright smiles they possessed.
If he demolished his soul in this moment he will feel regret.
Take his life away will cause the heartache of his mother.
It will cause the tears of his father.
It will crush the lives of his brothers and sisters.
The wind from the train wooshing past his face made him realize the mistake.
He turned to the crowd and faded into the distance.
Seeking help to try to fight this.
The urge of ending his life he cannot ignore.
The hunger in his stomach calls out for more.
The heart that lies in his chest will tore.
But the life he has, he will have to endure.
Find hope in himself will be his fate.
He will see his peace in a zen state.
For he has the gift to recreate.
The life that had been burned into the ground.
He will replenish it by meditating without a sound.
The new born monk has risen from his body.
A way to find his inner peace.
Prevent his thoughts from doing something shady.
Now his journey is to find goodness that he could teach.
